A serial tentmaker, whose home was on the road for 20 years, church planting and building missional programs around the world from Cambodia to Copenhagen to California. Jan joins CTEn at The Seattle School from serving as Director of Partnerships and Program Instructor in Global Studies and AI Governance at a Jesuit university, the University of San Francisco.
After living across four continents and retiring from her 15-year career in media, film and TV with the Olympics in 2021, Jan sensed a deep pull and seismic shift towards a missional reimagination of the Church alongside her personal spiritual renewal and formation journey.
In 2025, while raising her two active toddlers, Jan completed her M.A. in Leadership and Innovation at Biola University as well as a Founder incubator for missional practitioners at Missional Labs. Today, she enjoys living ever curiously and contemplatively in Washington where in her free time, she runs Eight Parables: a film incubator for parables to awaken a generation of deep thinkers longing for the true, good, and beautiful way of life.
